Love Story - State Premium Mare, participant in the 2009 Herwart von der Decken Show, double Ia award winner.

The State Premium mare Love Story not only made a name for herself through her participation in the renowned Herwart von der Decken Show in 2009, but also through her outstanding offspring in the dressage scene. Her son, Fürst Lauries by Fürstenball, has achieved success in advanced dressage under Charlotte Lenherr. Her daughter, Allerfeinste by Ampère, was sold for 26,000 euros at the Hanoverian Foal Auction and later produced the gelding Fontanell by Fürstenball, who won the SWB Championship for 7-year-old horses, took silver in the SWB Championship for 6-year-old horses, and competed in the qualifiers for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden.

Lauries Crusador xx: A Thoroughbred Legacy in Modern Warmblood Breeding

Love Story’s sire, Lauries Crusador xx, was an English thoroughbred who had a notable racing career. As a two-year-old, he won two races and placed in a further six starts. At three, he placed third in the prestigious Royal Ascot Gold Cup, one of the most significant stayer races in England. With a GAG (General Handicap) rating of 90.5, he gained access to warmblood breeding in Germany. In 2006, Lauries Crusador xx was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, making him the first thoroughbred to receive this title.

Lauries Crusador xx produced many exceptional offspring, including:

  • Locksley II – Bundeschampion of 4-year-old horses.

  • Londontime – Auction leader in Verden, selling for a record 510,000 euros.

His offspring have collectively earned more than 2 million euros. Dr. Jochen Wilkens, former breeding director of the Hanoverian Verband, commented: “Lauries Crusador xx captivates onlookers, and his offspring are praised for their rideability, often compared to driving a Ferrari. He has sired Bundeschampions, licensing winners, Olympic competitors, and Grand Prix winners, who carry young riders to the Golden Riding Badge”. The Celle state stud stallion Lauries Crusador xx is rightly regarded as one of the best thoroughbreds in modern riding horse breeding. He is a true bloodline founder, establishing a new dressage-focused line.
